2 weeks ago Leicester City FC put their faith in their manager...how did things change so quickly?! How quickly have last years triumphs been forgotten?
Its been a quick turn around for the team as they played Liverpool last night in the Premier League, where they managed to get their first win of 2017. Some might say it was a "slap in the face" for Ranieri, how can they go from not performing to switching it on 5 days after the manager lost his job.
With 13 matches left of the season and a definite chance of being able to save themselves from relegation, they decide Ranieri wasn't the man for the job! Nobody will ever know what was happening in the dressing room but how much is to blame on the Manager and how much is it the players, when you see them perform the way they did last night?
In hockey we don't really see this sort of thing happening, nobody is sacked halfway through the season...but should they be? How much do you think the manager/coach is to blame if a team isn't performing? Do coaches in hockey need to take more responsibility like what happens in football? Or as an amature sport is it down for the players to perform each week?
This is the topic for this weeks poddy! Let us know what you think!!
